Potential Issues & Troubleshooting (With User Feedback Insights)
Roland, Mutoh, and Mimaki printers are robust but require regular maintenance for optimal eco-solvent performance:
-
Ink Clogging: Common after inactivity, especially with eco-solvent or mild solvent inks. User tip: “Run 1–2 cleaning cycles with compatible ink. Allow 30-minute intervals between cleanings if clogs persist.” Recommended: Regular nozzle checks and use of professional cleaning solutions.
-
Damper Issues: Ink buildup in dampers can occur in older models. Solution: Replace dampers every 4–6 months and maintain consistent printing schedules to avoid buildup.
-
Electrical Errors: Rare but possible in aging printers. Check cabling and logic boards using the service manual for accurate diagnosis. These insights from user communities help extend printhead lifespan and ensure top-tier printing performance.
